OK so I finally saw the movie two nights ago. Yes, I know - I'm the last one to see it.
It was excellent! The story, the humour, the chemistry between Keanu and Rachel. The whole package.
I watched the extras. There was some cool stuff there.
I can say I'm glad they cut the scenes they did - the movie is better without them.
I went through this whole thread, and didn't see anyone ask - what's with the Ellie (the one with the tail that got cut in all scenes) chick? Is there a comics geek to explain that part to me.
And I didn't get a trailer for "A Scanner Darkly". Not fair!

I'm glad they cut her(Ellie) out of almost all of the movie, even though that part with the tail creeped me out. If you see the movie with the commentary they mention her a bunch throughout the movie, and in the extra disc they just mention that she was in the comic book.

Well I didn't mind the tail. But I think only those who read the comics would have got it if she was in the movie. I saw her on some of the comics they showed briefly on extras, but like you said - no explanation about who she is.

I saw Ellie in the Deleted Scenes. I didn't like her much though. Anybody could guess as to why that is. Oh well, it was another opportunity to see Keanu without a shirt so who could complain.

Hmmm the Ellie/Elle thing still sort of confuses me but basically Im glad the scenes were cut, they wouldnt have made the film any better.
