Good idea for a thread

After the 90210 and MP numbers, I feel a lot more unsure about TBL's prospects. Hopefully ANTM and VD can pick up some steam for the network - as well as the season premieres of GG and OTH next week.

TBL is the underdog of the Fall roll out so it would be really cool if it came out with some respectable numbers. I'd like it to premiere with over 3 million viewers and more importantly to beat the other shows in the demo.

Yeah, VD we won't know for a little while.

Melrose opened to 2.37 million viewers and a 1.3/4 in the 18-49 demo. The total viewers was an epic fail, but the demo is okay. I believe it had the same demo share as 90210 even though 90210 had higher total viewership.

It would be good for TBL to top that 1.3 that both 90210 and MP had. A 1.7 would be awesome and a 2.0 would be amazing.

Wasn't over 2 mil a good number for the CW like 2 years back? Maybe things have changed since then, lol.

Melrose's numbers would have been good or at least better, if they weren't the premiere. For a massively hyped relaunch they were disappointing, especially considering no one new turned in at 9pm and 90210 beat it.

Top Model got these munbers:

The premiere of the 13th edition (yes, 13!!) of TOP MODEL delivered the network’s best Wednesday since March 4 in women 18-34 (2.7/8), adults 18-34 (1.7/5), women 18-49 (2.2/6), adults 18-49 (1.5/4) and total viewers (3.2mil).

Which is fine but not spectacular for it, although it is one of the only CW shows that increases during the season often. I'm really not sure what that means for TBL, to be honest I don't think they will be big, but it if gets around Melrose numbers it should be considered ok since it is hyped much less. And it will be interesting to see what TVD does tonight, can they go over 5 million like 90210 did? Anything less than well over 3 million will be considered below expectations. Now if this bombs then the CW is in real trouble this season since this was their best loved baby.

Thanks for the Top Model news. 3 Mil isn't great, but, it is the CW's highest since March 4, so that's gotta mean something.

ANTM came out with slightly softer numbers than I was expecting...again. What is going on with The CW, lol? They cannot get anyone to watch the network.

And ANTM will probably drop slightly next week, giving even less of a lead in for TBL. :S

VD needs to do better.
