And yeah-it is mean.

The worst part is she gets me up, and then she goes to her bed and sleeps all morning.

Oh, that is frustrating.

If she was a human being, you could keep her up and just tell her "this is what you get for keeping me up."

But, if you could do that to a cat, it'd probably count as animal torture.

And that's assuming that you could do it, because I know enough to know that you can't boss cats around.

You can sometimes train them a certain way, but that's about the extent of it.

Yeah, cats are difficult that way.

Sometimes I'll walk by and wake her up petting her, and she doesn't care. Right back to sleep.

On the other hand, that's why cats make good pets, too.

They can take care of themselves for the most part and don't require much support, on the whole.

How did the random number 300 get picked?

Not sure how 300 got picked.

I think it's to do with bandwidth, i.e. how many posts a thread can have and still load up pretty quickly.

But I'm not sure.
