Well, then I think you would enjoy those comedies, depending on what you mean by "bad event."

Especially the Hot Shot movies, which are really silly and kinda stupid even, in that they're spoofing action movies of the 1980s.

Oh awesome! I love movies that spoof. Those aren't painful in any way.

The Major League series shouldn't be super troubling either. It's not a spoof, but it is very silly with just a teeny tiny bit of drama, but just a dash.

Still not sure what you mean by a bad event, so I don't know if it would qualify here either.

But, seriously, Major League, the first one anyway, is kinda hilarious. Especially if you were ever a fan of baseball. But even if you weren't.

I was a "there's nothing on TV" baseball fan. I kind of remember that-so I know I've seen parts of it.

I'm sure you'd still enjoy the Major League movies. Well, at least the first one, since that's the one I remember best.

It just has a bit of loving fun with the radical fans you'll see at sporting events sometimes. You know, the one who seem to live there? It's just a teensy winsy bit of fun, not mean at all.

I think I enjoy it because it reminded me of the Habs and their crazy fans.

Oh! Like Dale Jr. fans in NASCAR. I would probably really like it.

Well, it's not a central aspect of the plot, mind you. But it gives you a good idea of the kind of silly movie that it is.

But, again, lovingly. It always qualifies as a spoof, it's so light and fluffy in its humour.

I suppose there are moments of supposed tension (of the "Will the Braves win their big game?" variety), but nothing to take too seriously.

Cool. It's sadness I can't take in a comedy.

Well, then you'd be safe with the Major League movies.

There's a little angst in the first one because there's a love story, but again, it's one of those you can tell the whole time that it's going to end well. So, you know, no sadness there.

The Hot Shots movies? Are even sillier.

Ack! No pressure, obviously.

I'm just saying there are roles in this world in which Charlie Sheen is neither scary nor sad.

I figured, but love the use of ACK in a sentence.

That's good to know. I used to see him sometimes if I caught Spin City when he was on there.

I got that from Buffy... didn't I?

I've integrated that language so thoroughly that sometimes I forget where I get things from. I assume it's Buffy.

I just see it in comics...I can't remember where I saw it, or first heard/read it.

You crack me up.

It sounds like something Willow would say, in the early seasons. Doesn't it?
