Hope it wasn't too stressful Karen.

Happy belated anniversary. For some reason I have it as the 2nd.

Sunny, Yay for finishing the book.

I hope you have more of hers.

I hope you got caught up on your sleep, too.

Trucks are small trucks, like, they're as small as stock cars (Cup race cars).

The race was good. Races are at night this week-which I love.

Not much is going on here, except laundry and some more cleaning.

Well, it's the week now, so I can't exactly catch up on sleep as much as I could if I could sleep in.

But that may have been my problem recently.

Too much sleep, leading to not enough sleep.

It'll all even out eventually.

It always does.

I've already started a new book and I'm loving it as well, so it's all good.

Glad to hear it, on both counts.

Man, I had such big plans of sleeping like a log last night... and I woke up three freaking times.

Not a great day to have been so tired.

Lots of work today. I needed my concentration and it just wasn't there.

But I'm still loving my new book.

And I got three new ones in the mail, so

How are you? What are you up to?

I had nothing going on yesterday, except waking up around 3am, so that's why I didn't post more.

on new books!!

Don't know if "read" is a smilie, but you know what I was trying to say.

I'm okay. Nothing really worth talking about going on here.

Journaling a lot, and I started writing creatively some again.

I understood that to be a reading smilie.

It certainly works for me.

Not a whole lot going with me either.

Long days a work and then home.

At least we're on the right side of Wednesday now.

Kimmie, Mom and Dad's anniversary would've been the 2nd. We have too much close together.

back to Sunny.

Been a busy week, but good. I had a very good birthday between work and coworkers and home. Way too many desserts and cakes.

I don't work this weekend so Sis and Aunt Linda and I are going to Northwest AR to a vintage fair/craft/flea market thing. Never been before but I hope to enjoy.

Good, Sunny. I see now it was a read smilie.

It's the weekend!! for you!

Any resting plans for the weekend?

And :yay; for you Karen!

I used to love places like that. I hope you have a lot of fun.

We are having unbelievable winds here-for days now.

It hits the wall of my room like something slamming against it.

Saturday night race this week so I'll be watching that tonight.

And hopefully still writing.

Karen I also used to go to a massive flea market thing when I was a kid.

It was more of a day trip or half-day trip sort of thing.

But I did enjoy it when I was younger.

Kimmie I had important resting plans for today, but my cleaning lady called early to say she couldn't tomorrow, so could she come today instead?

So that meant I had to start moving.

Which means I haven't rested a whole lot today.

And tomorrow, I'll be prepping for the week ahead, so there you have it.

Big winds is one of the reasons I miss living in a house.

I literally neighbours on all sides here, so I never hear that wind hitting the walls.

Or rain hitting the roof.

Those are the country sounds I miss.

I hope you managed to get some rest today.

It must be nice having your place clean.

I don't mind winds, it's the 40-50mph winds, with dangerous trees that huge branches come off and hit the house.

Rain I love to hear, so I can see why you'd miss that.

When we lived in apartments, I missed it too.

I tried to take it easy, but Sunday really is my day to get ready for the week.

So I had lots of laundry to do and now I have to make lunches too.

I tried to catch up on some taped stuff as well.

So, you know, it's not all hard work.

But it's okay.

I've never had branches wiping my house when I was in the country or trees breaking too near.

I think maybe because we were in the middle of the woods, but in a clearing.

So the trees were far enough to not be dangerous.

And there was enough of them that they were secure.

I don't know.

Sounds like you tried to balance your day well.

Did you get your cooking done?

The race Saturday night was rain delayed.

As a result, I was up till after 1am watching.

We had a nice time. It was a 30 minute drive or less to pick up Linda, then 1 1/2 hours form her place to the Vintage Market, but it was a good day. We had a good time hanging with Linda and looking. It was more like vintage stuff than really what I remember a flea market being when I was a kid, some of it made into stuff, some of it old junk for sale but not like American Pickers old stuff. Odd, but enjoyable. I did buy one thing (besides food) and that was for $10 a section of old tin that had been carved or cut with the word "home" and in place of the o was the shape of Oklahoma. It was cool. If it'll work we'll put it above the fireplace. If not then we'll find somewhere else outside or in the garage.

Well I got to see my lung specialist today. I didn't care for his "bedside manner" but at least he answered all my questions and asked lots of them himself. Just was short and to the point. It was a two hour ordeal with really no "down time" or waiting. The longest wait was on my chest x-ray which was like 15 minutes. It was at the hospital, so I got there and checked in and they took me for the x-ray. Then I was back downstairs to meet the nurse and go over priors and medicines etc. Then it was a walking pulse oxygen test. Then I saw the doctor, then it was bloodwork and setting up a new appointment in two months time. Or I guess more like 6 weeks. He says asthma for sure is the source of the coughing (vs sinus drainage or reflux which are the two more common causes) he heard me wheeze. He didn't think the lung test really showed asthma or that it was "that off" and I wanted to talk about it more but he simply said he didn't see what my concerns were on the report he got, then went on to a new subject. I would've liked to have discussed that more, but I guess it didn't matter because that was just a verification of asthma and he could tell that's what I had anyhow.

He gave me a new preventative inhaler to try, one that should work better, something about opening up the airways more. And he did explain that if it was not asthma the rescue inhaler wouldn't work, and since it works well for me that shows it's asthma. But I am currently using it 3-4 times easy a day, and on days I run 5-8 times or more. I told him this, he said that is okay. (For now, I guess) He wasn't concerned about it and my heart right now, so that's okay. That's my long term concern, but he told me to use it when I need it.

He also did bloodwork for allergy testing, because he thinks knowing what allergens might affect my asthma might help me control it. Although we discussed how active I am and how I work outside so it's not like I can avoid a lot. He was very inquisitive about the onset of my asthma, etc.

Anyhow, overall it was a good/interesting experience. I did learn that my pulse oxygen dropped while I did the walking test around the hospital. Not sure if everybody's drops or not when they walk. But it wasn't unsafe, just low 90s instead of high 90s.
