I watched all the episodes and by the end I kinda liked it. There were some things that I really liked about the episode, for example, how the women seemed to have a good relationship between the three of them. But the relationship that really made me want to scream was the one between Kim's character and her husband and Kirby. How stupid can a woman be if she gets sued by a guy for sexual harrasement only to be back in bed with the guy shortly after? It was a little raw for network TV and unless NBC can't find anything else to fill the 10 pm Thursday slot, I don't see the show coming back. The best part of the show, at least I felt, was the credits.

Oh, I can't be the only one who dug Joe. Andrew McCarthy gave so many layers to that guy.

Or is it my tendency to love guys who have absolutely no skills at being human that's rearing its ugly head?

It might be too early to find out anything solid. The final word usually comes in May/June, when the networks announce their fall schedules.

Hmmm ... well when I looked it up on The Futon Critic ... it has Lipstick Jungle listed as "STATUS: returning this fall (2008-2009 season)"

I saw that the DVD is either just getting released this week or was released last week ... there's a snippet about it in this week's Entertainment Weekly with Usher on the cover.

Well, at this point, I like the parts of it better than the sum total, if that makes any sense.

I don't like the Kirby storyline at all. I think the whole lacks a LOT of cohesion. But I just freaking love Andrew McCarthy, which was not something I ever expected to see myself type. And Brooke Shields and Kim Raver are awesome.

Plus, I mean, come on, there was a Bobby/Kim scene. Even if it was barely passable as such. They were in the same frame. They might have exchanged a couple of lines.

So, what I'm hoping really is that the second season redeems the whole.
