No wonder you still like him then. I get that now. I like a reformed bad guy, and he has no intention of reforming, so... __________________

I was just on the other Faith thread trying to figure out where the "reply with quote" button so I could start the new thread
Thank you for starting it. Yeah, that's it, exactly. I can see why you don't care for him, in that case. They are not using Hook much this half of the season. I've noticed that. It's like they're going through each person's story, and sprinkling in the rest of the characters. I don't know how to explain it-you'll see, and you may feel differently. Or be able to find a way to make sense of it. __________________

Are they splitting up the characters even more than usual?
Because that'd be almost an exploit. Every season, I feel like all they do is follow the plot and separate the characters too much. So far, I've caught up to the episode with Hercules, which was really cute. Now, that's a guest actor I would have liked more of, you know? He had charisma and didn't feel like he was being shoved down our throats. __________________

I'm not sure what you consider more than usual.
I just mean that each character/or couple, has been having their own episode. Like, Hook's story was about him and his brother. But other than that, he has hardly had a serious place in the group. Or none recently. It doesn't bother me, but I was wondering if it would bother you. I liked Hercules too, and I liked his story. __________________

Obviously, I've only seen two episodes so far.
So I still have a ways to go before I get a better sense of the season. But what you're describing to me makes me think it's the way I've always seen the show. Of course, if most of the characters get to have the focus on them in turn, that would actually be a little different. Since they historically have focused on one character more than most (Emma or Regina, usually) for a whole bunch of episodes. I probably wouldn't enjoy a show will little to no Hook, but we'll see. I mean, he and brother get their own episode, right? __________________

Yeah, you'll decide when you get to the episodes.
I tend to focus not on details, so he may be included in the stories more than I notice, too. That's it-they've been focusing on a certain character (what has become really their own unresolved issues) or couple, and spending the majority of an episode on them. It's really about these characters unresolved issues much more than those who have to move on. Well, it's mutual resolving. __________________

Sounds like what they did with the Snow Queen in the Frozen season.
It was all about her unresolved issues and the whole season was about dealing with that. That's another criticism you and I have had of the show over the years. Too much attention given to the "guest" people and completely side-lining our regular characters. It sounds like they're trying to resolve that. __________________

Yeah, they really seem to be trying to resolve the issue.
There are guest stars, a lot of them, but they are all about resolving the main characters' issues. Like, the guest stars facilitate the regular casts' issue. __________________

And maybe I'm not judging it correctly, since I've now only seen three episodes, but Hercules was pretty much the only guest-star we hadn't already met.
Like, all of the guest people are related to our main characters and not in a way where we're never seen them before. So it doesn't feel as artificial as it normally does. At least, not so far. Not for me. This was the episode where they finally saved Killian, so I was quite happy for that. Even more because there was very little "Milah versus Emma" nonsense. That's what I had been afraid of. __________________

I was hoping they wouldn't get Milah gone so fast.
The story called for her to be gone, I was just disappointed there wasn't more good stuff between her and Emma. Since Auntie Em is now in the River of Lost Souls, I'm thinking there may be a way to send all of them on their way, in a good way. __________________

The more people get chucked in that river of the doomed, the more I really start thinking it can't be the end of it.
Because to have that thing can't be the Big End of everything for whomever gets dumped in there. Because that would be utterly unfair. And, if fairness isn't reason for there to be something else for those people, than the fact that this is not a show to limit itself that way is pretty inconceivable. So I'm with you, there's something more to it. Gotta be. __________________

I think there has to be because I can't see leaving all those people there.
I'm guessing when they defeat Hades, the people will have some kind of resolution. And then they will probably move on. __________________

I don't know what they're going to do on the show.
Like you, I think if they defeat Hades, it should mean that there is hope for everyone. However, as he is a god, I don't really know what defeating Hades looks like. So, whatever happens when they defeat Hades, I've already decided that those people aren't doomed. Even if they don't show it on the show, that's what's the reality as far as I'm concerned. __________________

This week's episode is called "Sisters" with Regina, Zelena, and Cora being part of the main story.
Then James and David, too. I think they'll do it on the show. Even if they don't, I'm with you. In my head, they'll be in a better place. __________________
