How do you handle all of the characters who are only there for one episode?

I mean, I'll admit, I mostly focus on our guys.

But, you know, I usually invest a little in the victims or parents of the victims, or whatever, you know? And the other characters, like JJ's husband, who we see every so often, but not much.

Anyway, good on you for knowing yourself well enough to realize that you won't enjoy her since you know she won't be staying.

I like the actress who plays her and I haven't seen her act in forever, so I'm looking forward to that.

And to finding out if she is playing Reid's mysterious girlfriend.

Karen that makes sense to me.

I don't think I invest much in the families of the bad guys, or the the victims or families of victims.

The only time I really remember doing that was the episode "JJ" where JJ left.

Sunny I don't know the actress, so I'm curious to see her.

And, I think with the team I like most of the people who work with them-except JJ's replacement when she was having a baby, and Seaver. I found no feelings for them.

I do understand caring about more than our guys, I just don't let my emotions go there.

I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that I'm as invested in the families of bad guys and victims the same way that I am in our team.

But I can't watch something without taking an interest.

It's when I don't take an interest that I stop watching.

So, yeah, I take an interest.

For example, I don't care that much about Rossi's daughter, but I like it when she's on.

It gives Rossi new things to do.

Ditto Spencer's mother, JJ's husband, and all of them...

For me I know he bad guys and the guest stars aren't here but for an eppy or two, so I watch but don't get invested.regulars I assume are her long term.

Yeah, I guess I do too, cause the ones I don't like of the team (Seaver and what's her name) I'm afraid they'd be there forever.

The ones I adore, I hope, and expect to stick around.

But there's a middle ground, too.

It's not just "the team" and then "the episode's case and the people related to it."

There are recurring people.

JJ's husband and son, Hotch's son, Morgan's girlfriend and sister, Reid's mother, Rossi's daughter, etc.

They're not in every episode. They're barely more than once or twice a season, if that.

But they leave an impression on me.

Oh yeah Sunny, I love their families, and the people in their lives.

I care about them, because the team cares so much about them.

Reid's Mom especially, and Will, are faves of mine.

And all the kids.

Karen, I am too. It feels good to be looking forward to it.

I've not been stoked about new seasons much lately, but I do feel really ready for this fall tv

It's a good show, but it's not without its problems.

The fast-forward button is super useful.

I agree, but I don't usually fast forward. If I get bored I get on my computer or IPad while I watch.
