And sometimes I don't express myself very clearly.

I mean, it's either that or my mother really is deaf to the word NO.

I'm inclined to believe it's a little of both, you know?

Yeah, I imagine it's a matter of both.

Meanwhile, it's official.

Limitless has been cancelled.

I expected it, but it still sucks. Bleh.

Yeah, I saw that.

I knew they were "shopping" it around.

Sorry it didn't work out, for your sake.

This is another reason why I don't trust in things unless they're concrete.

I'm sure there was shopping around.

But since it came to nothing and we have zero details about said "shopping around," I'm left with a stupid suspicion that there wasn't a whole lot of shopping around done at all.

It's stupid.

But, basically, even though we all pretty much suspected this is where we'd end up, I still kinda wish they'd just ripped the band-aid off and said it was cancelled from the get-go.

Ah, yeah, we definitely view things differently.

I see it as having a chance, no matter how small a chance it is.

Yeah, I agree.

When it comes to things like that, I'd rather it be direct, and quick.

I think you're just more positive or hopeful than I am.

For me, something having a chance is no good unless that chance pays out.

I bet you'll be a bit surprised when you read this, though.

I know you think you focus on the negative a lot.

But, clearly, there are areas where you're more hopeful than I am.

Hm, I guess I really am.

The payout has to be there for you, or it's just like it didn't exist.

And that makes perfect sense to me, too.

That's true, I am.

I just need something I can hold in my hand.

Something that's true.

I don't know how to explain it.

From my point of view, that doesn't necessarily make me hopeless or a pessimist.

It's not like I'm expecting things to go bad.

I just need something tangible.

That does make sense.

Something solid rather than something out in the atmosphere somewhere.

Oh I don't think it makes you hopeless or a pessimist.

I think it makes you cautious, and just needing to know for sure.

I think you're right.

I am very cautious and I'll even add that I don't trust easily.

The forecast was for rain during the day today, so I went to work prepared that it would rain.

And it did, but not while I was outside.

So that's okay, right?

That makes absolute sense. that it's that way when you don't trust easily.

That's very okay.

And I'd do the same in the possible rain situation.

Well, I have a system for the rain prediction.

I have a spare umbrella at work ("Mama Bear") and one that I carry in my hold-all ("Baby Bear").

They'll so in a pinch.

But, if the prediction call for 60% or more in chances that it'll rain, that's when I bring out Papa Bear.

Oh! That is an ingenious idea I'd never thought of!

I would have loved to have thought to have one on me, and one at work.

Love Mama Bear and Baby Bear.

Oh wow! A Papa Bear on top of those 2? Very good planning on your part.

Well, you'll understand that the whole "Baby Bear, Mama Bear, Papa Bear" system is a representation of the respective size of those umbrellas.

The one I carry around (Baby Bear) works, but it's small.

So it can be a bit of a pain.

Mama Bear is in a drawer at work is medium-size.

It's better, and it totally works, but the handle is a bit short.

Papa Bear is the larger one.

It's not a golf umbrella, though.

So when there's a good chance it'll rain, I'd rather have that one around.

It's just handier, you know?
