That is so awesome!!!!
Well, hoping they pick up the rest for you, but at least you have the Flash.

And I'm very happy he will be on there for you!

I'm hoping to check out the series, and like it.

I think the next season is gonna be pretty bananas.

At least, at the start of it.

In short, the last season ended with Barry going back in time and saving his mother's life.

His mother died when he was a kid.

Now that he's changed that...

Apparently, it could mean that everything about his world has changed when he comes back to the present.

Including the fact that he may no longer be super fast.

Oh wow-that could have huge implications in the way his life is now.

Lots of potential with the stories.

So he may lose his powers in the beginning, and they may go that direction.

Thanks for letting me know that, cause that seems really an interesting bunch of events for me.

Karen Thanks for that. I guess he would be, huh?

Kimmie Yeah, Barry may be powerless when we come back.

Long story short, his father was jailed for his mother's murder.

(Obviously, he didn't do it.)

That made Barry pursue science so he could prove his father's innocence.

Being involved in science (again, long story short) is how he wound up in the position he was in to gain his superpowers.

So, if his mother never died... no science, no powers.

Thanks Karen.

It's better they put it out of its' misery though, even if he is down.

He'll bounce back.

Sunny, I didn't know he was jailed for it, or that he didn't do it.

Is Barry's dad on a lot, or part of the back story?

Yikes, I'd say it's a definite he'll lose his powers for a while then.

Or maybe not. Depends on how they go.

Okay...

So Barry's mom was murdered by a metahuman (that's what they call people with powers on this show) when he was a kid.

Because the metahuman didn't stick around, the police's only suspect was Barry's dad.

So he went to jail, Barry got into science, became a metahuman himself.

Then, eventually, Barry did prove his dad's innocence.

But, in the last season finale, his dad was also murdered by a metahuman.

So, Barry, all kinds of angry and sad, went back in time and saved his mom.

Probably so he would have one parent still alive or something.

So you could say that his dad is a back-story character in that he's now dead.

But, and this is the this with The Flash, they have parallel universes.

And, in those parallel universes, there are people who are Barry's dad who are still alive.

So his "dad" could still appear. It just wouldn't be his actual dad, because his actual dad is dead.

Does that make any sense?

Oh yikes on his Mom and Dad being murdered.

Yes, that makes absolute sense.

Thank you for the story with his parents, so I can understand.

Just saw online that Aug. 1st the CW is starting season 1 of Supergirl.

I don't know if you'll get it, or what, but thought I'd let you know.

I'm really interested in the Flash now.

I like the idea of parallel universes, and the differences.

Reminds me of Sliders, except they were in a different universe every episode.

If I get the CW at all, which I'm still not sure I'll be able to, it certainly won't be by August 1.

But that's okay.

I've already seen the first season of Supergirl.

The Flash isn't hard to follow, even with the alternate/parallel universes.

Because it's basically our core group of people trying to figure it out.

Very much like Sliders that way.

Except that our core group of people don't spend their entire lives going from parallel universe to parallel universe.

Mind you, again, Barry saving his mother will have changed things in a major way.

So who knows what next season will be like.

Yeah, that is true.

Did you get all the way through the finale, watching them?

I appreciate the heads up on what's going on.

It sounds pretty easy to follow,

And if I get lost, I have you to ask.

Oh, yeah, I saw all of Supergirl's first season.

I'm really hoping to see the next season, now that I've seen who they've cast as Superman.

I mean, I obviously know he won't be on much, if at all, beyond one or maybe two episodes, but I am now looking forward to that.

I also saw that Ian Gomez has been cast on the show as editor-in-chief of CatCo's magazine.

I think that means we're gonna see less of Cat, but I suppose we already knew that.

I didn't realize that.

Or if I did, I forgot.

I didn't care for the guy they cast as Superman, yet.

You know me, it takes me a while, once I already have an actor I really liked in the role.

Yeah, I am just glad we'll have some Cat.

I hope that she films a lot in advance, so we don't feel her absence as much.

I understand that you loved Tom Welling in the role.

I just thing it was incredibly unlikely he would be the one to play him here.

Superman is going to be a small role.

Tom Welling has played him as the lead character and, more importantly, he's moved on now.

The thing that was a little strange to me is that Tyler Hoechlin isn't much older than Melissa Benoist.

I would have thought Superman would have been older, you know?

Oh yeah, I wouldn't expect him to play the role.

I just don't have any interest in seeing someone else's version of Superman.

Superman is supposed to be quite a bit older than Supergirl from what I've read.

No telling.
