i like that they were being optimistic, but i would much rather have closure and then they start new questions next season...

I agree. That's what the next season is for.

What if OTH had ended with that stupid phone call for good? I know they had their 6th season confirmed around the time the writers strike ended, but what if they hadn't? Would they have still written the same season?

Writers need to think.

OMFG i was MAD ENOUGH that OTH ended like that (the phonecall is totally to peyton , but anyway) i mean the way OTH ended season 4 was the most amazing thing ever! no cliffhanger, it was just awesome!!!

How fun would that be?! Seriously...they should let the fans write the last eppie. That way we'd be happy with how things end. Or at least most of us would. Sam would definitely be Nicks.
