I think he meant that he was part of a new operation and he was running things of it in his area as it were for someone else, like a Mafia Cappo as it were. Those guys were guys from his old life before he was a zombie I believe; which means he dealt drugs before he turned.

I know he was a drug dealer before a zombie. That's why he was on the boat. He was dealing that drug that changed everyone. What I'm saying is he's now in charge of his own operation. As a human he was answering to everyone else, but as a zombie he's the powerhouse now. That's why he's changing all these wealthy and powerful figures. To earn the cash and to cover his ass. He doesn't have a boss at all.

I still say that Blaine is working for someone or others cause there has to be a bigger zombie conspiracy going on and he doesn't seem able to pull off such a thing on his own.

He doesn't seem like the type who wants to work for anyone else, though. Hence, the scene in the alley where he killed those two guys when they insisted on taking him to see the "boss."

Yeah I don't see him answering to anyone else. This all screams that he's the HZIC (head zombie in charge), especially after that scene with him and the police capt.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him having competition sometime in the future though. I mean if this drug changed people into zombies who's to say there aren't any others that Blaine doesn't know exist?

Agreed. He's definitely got the HZIC thing about him and I just don't see him answering to anyone....ever. They all answer to him, not the other way around.
