There isn't a cinema closer to you than there?

There is, but remember I said I needed to visit a library after seeing ''Aquaman'' & that was the closest theater to it that was cheapest to see that film.

We are expecting to get snow here in the Portland Metro Area. I was so tired yesterday that I forgot about Groundhog Day. On cnn.com there's a story titled ''Groundhog Day 2019: Groundhog predicts an early spring. Don't get too excited, he's usually wrong.

So why have him predict the weather?! I did not think that we'd be getting snow in the Portland/Vancouver area this winter after the mostly mild December we had & then last month as well, so anything would be welcome. I don't expect it to me as much as last year though.

Well I mean it's a tradition that goes back as for as the late 1800's & of course is not just something that people in the U.S. take part in. Here on the West Coast though, I'm not even usually awake at the time that Punxsutawney Phil makes a prediction, though I think we have are own I guess hedgehog at the Oregon Zoo that makes it's weather prediction. Up in the Seattle area they've gotten a bunch of snow lately.

Oh. Yeah. I think if it would've snowed earlier & stuck to the roads & sidewalks that I'd feel the same way, but the mild weather in particularly December & even last month doesn't make me automatically wish it was spring at this time. Plus the snow hasn't that I've seen stuck to the roads yet.

Well they have other animals besides 1 or more groundhogs pick the weather on February 2nd. It started I believe in Germany with an old religious holiday called ''Candlemas Day'' & instead of a groundhog being used to predict the weather it was a badger. If the badger saw it's shadow, it meant a 2nd winter was coming. Apparently the reason why groundhogs actually come out of their holes in early February is to look for mates. They wake up early to scope for potential partners then return to their burrow to wait out winter. I think Punxsutawney Phil is correct on predicting the weather 30% of the time.
