I really do hate when this happens. Unless an actor/actress doesn't know when they're going to be killed off or something, why go out for another part while you're already acting in one?

Or maybe he did know and that's why he went out for the other role?

I think part of it is timing..plus it all seems like a big crap shoot...actors do a bunch of pilots and hope they'll be picked up - they never know if or when, and even after a show is picked up..who ever knows for how long? I guess in the meantime, they gotta eat

Maybe he knew ahead that it was going to only be a 3 or 4 3ep arc...
