I think he's suspicious but just doesn't want to say anything yet until he's more sure of what's going on.

If it were me, personally I'd be more apt to believe in a psychic than someone being a zombie. Unless it was widely known that zombies were out there to make it a bit more believable.

The normal rules for zombies from the movies don't seem to entirely apply to the iZombie's rules for Zombies, meaning that if they don't go too long without nurishment they can actually live pretty normal lives. While most movies (including The Walking Dead) basically don't show anything beyond the need to eat flesh.
