Amber Tamblyn, who stars as Joan on the CBS television show "Joan of Arcadia," in which her character has conversations with God. She grew up in Los Angeles talks about life.

Who is your favorite singer?
I really like Christina Aguilera's voice, she's a great singer, but I don't think her image portrays what real young women look like

““Following my own star.”” has been the story of my career. I had to learn a lot of lessons the hard way. One thing that I’’ve definitely learned is how important it is to follow my own heart, my own instincts and that, I can say, is what betters me every day”” says Christina Aguilera.

Brandy85, thanks for the Glamour pics. She looks beautiful.

Rem, thanks for posting the news on her new song. Can't wait to heart it.

I seen Christina last night on the MTV Movie Awards, they edited out the part where she tripped walking down the stairs. Surprised to see MTV do that for her, I thought they'd just live it in. But it seem like she had a good time, even brought Jordy along. So happy that he makes her happy.

Feisty US singer Christina Aguilera has taken the top honour at an awards ceremony organised by a top magazine.
She was named Woman Of The Year at the glitzy awards bash in central London.

Teenage star Keira Knightley scooped Film Actress Of The Year following her roles in Pirates Of The Caribbean, Bend It Like Beckham and Love Actually.

Other winners at the Glamour magazine awards included Cat Deeley - who was TV Personality Of The Year - and Girls Aloud, who took Band Of The Year.

In the world of music, there were also awards for Joss Stone (Newcomer Of The Year) and Kelis (Solo Artist Of The Year).

Just one award was given to a chap.

It went to Friends actor David Schwimmer, who was Man Of The Year

From eonline:

"Everyone knows I hate Christina [Aguilera]. I've known her since I was 10, and she's been horrible her whole life."
--Kelly Osbourne in Star. Papa don't preach, and neither should Helly, um, Kelly. We love to mock kooky Christina as much as the next wag, but at least she has a talent that goes beyond simply being the daughter of a famously clownish rocker

I love the last part.
