Vanity Fair (2004) #1
I'm really looking forward to seeing this film! It looks as though it's going to be really good.

i've seen the trailer for 'vanity fair' more than once.....but only in "art house" theaters.......now i see that it's being released to the general market....i plan on seeing it, but in about a week or two....btw reese can fit into period pieces quite well (as witnessed by her performance in ''the importance of being earnest')......

I saw Reese on Leno last night promoting the film...isn't Vanity Fair a fashion magazine of some sort?

I've seen two other film versions of Vanity Fair (which is a book by Thackeray as well as the name of a magazine ) so I guess it'd be interesting to see how this one holds up, though I can't imagine it being as good as Becky Sharp was.

I want to see this movie b/c the costumes look so amazing and beautiful. I also like Reese and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers.

I saw it today, it was alright. Too long. Jonathan Rhys Meyers was very hot, although his character was an a$shole.

I saw it yesterday. I'm not sure if I liked it or not. The costumes were absolutely beautiful, as well as the settings. And the actors were great. But, it was just the length of the film. I'm sure that if it were shorter I'd have liked it more.

I'm iffy on this one. I've read a good chunk of the novel. And Reese seems like she'd be a good Becky Sharp. She has a lot of the same qualities.
For those complaining about the length. Trust me, I'm pretty sure the movie left a lot out. The novel is huge! I've been working on it off and on for a year. I think it would probably work best as miniseries. IMO __________________
