I'm a big fan of parody movies. The Zucker flicks are my favorite. He directed Airplane, Naked Gun and Scary Movie 4 which were all really funny. I'm glad that Leslie Neilson is still appearing in spoofs because he's hilarious. I think he did a good job spoofing the president in SM 4.

I remember when these types of films first came out and no one had seen them before. Airplane and ...oh, crap, I can't recall the name - the one with Val Kilmer, a cow in boots - that one! Anyway, when those two came out it was the first time we'd seen this type of movie and it was hilarious.

I also like mockumentaries - you know, Best in Show, Spinal Tap, The Ruttles - fantastic films!

My favorite spoof movie of all time is Spaceballs. I love Star Wars and I'm a sci-fi buff but that parody was funny as hell!

Why does everyone love Spaceballs?

I mean, I'm an original Star Wars freak, but I never cared for that movie.

On the other hand, I adored a short spoof created before Spaceballs that was absolutely hilarious.
..."But Basketball is a peaceful planet - you can't destroy it!"

I'm not sure if Tucker and Dale VS Evil counts as a parody movie since it spoofs the whole genre of teens going out in the middle of the woods type movies, but its definitely one of my favorite. The main characters are too funny.
