I've grown out of animation, which no one understands, including my brother who always tries to persuade me to go see one with him, like How to Train Your Dragon. Movies like Finding Nemo and WallE I just don't care for.

I also won't see anything with Jodie Foster or what qualifies as real horror, like Saw or Hostel; things that could happen because there are truly messed up people in this world.

Steven Seagal kind of movies. Where the plot pretty much doesn't exist, everything is so cheesy and it's all about gunshots, car races and explosions.

Westerns. I'm always bored to tears during them. There are a few that I do enjoy but usually I just steer clear of them.

Federico Fellini films. I swear to God I tried on numerous occasions to watch and enjoy his films but it's just impossible for me! I've watched 8 1/2, La dolce vita and La strada, so it's not like I'm watching "crappy" ones. I'm watching ones that have a lot of critical acclaim! I've tried to watch 8 1/2 three times and have fallen asleep every single time.

Well I hear the movie Nine is based on 8 1/2 and I almost fell asleep in that....so I would probably fall asleep in 8 1/2.

I want to add scary movies to my list also. They just don't scare me and the acting is always terrible....why waste my money.

I agree on that. I do try to watch them when there's someone I really love who plays in them. For example I saw High Noon just because of Grace Kelly. I found it boring though.

I agree somewhat about Westerns; they can be so boring. I liked Appaloosa (2008), but it dragged in the middle. The best Western I've seen is The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007). I thought it was pitch perfect and vastly underrated.

I don't make it a point to catch Westerns either.

I've seen The Quick and the Dead and Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and enjoyed those two.

Hi, it's me, I'm a crybaby or something like that. Nah, I really like movies and television shows even more, but I have many genres that I don't really like. If I consider it right, I wonder what kind of movies I do like, but maybe I figure it out at the end of my list or someone else does. Let's go.......

I don't watch horrormovies, I simply think they're stupid, they give me no joy. Never seen any "saw" movie and I avoid those movies.

I don't really watch comedic-movies, I like feel-good-movies, but pure comedies like "The Hangover" are not made for me. So I watch some comedy-television-shows, but the list with the ones I dislike is much, much longer.

I don't like stupid action movies with a lot of explosions and no characterwork, like "Transformers 2" and "2012" and so on, just pure "effect porns" as we call them, just this crap of CGI-Movies with no soul. Yes, James Cameron, I'm pointing directly at you.

What else? I think I don't like movies from Asia or so, not all, but they are too difficult to watch somehow. Okay, Jackie Chan movies are fun (some ^^), but the rest?

Then I don't watch german movies, 99 % are in English.

I absolutely don't need movies like HSM or Twilight, that stupid teen genre, though I don't hate all movies, there are some nice ones like Freaky Friday or Cinderella Story, that have a good message and a heart. That's what I like about movies in general. That includes all the stupid teenage comedies and movies with too much sex.

And I also reject so-called RomComs, cos they are almost always the same to me.

And the most annoying point: Actors that I can't stand. No Adam Sandler, No Jennifer Anniston, No Halle Berry and so on, there are some "blacklisted" actors, that I don't watch (except for times when I just want to bash them for annoying me and to remind myself why exactly I dislike them/to have arguments agains them )

If you are now confused, I've got almost 150 movies in my shelf, so there are a lot of movies I like.

''3:10 to Yuma'' is a pretty good 1 also. I agree though. Most Westerns haven't made a habit of trying to see, unless perhaps Clint Eastwood is in them. Movies I tend to avoid are gorefests & gross out humor ones, mostly because usually watch I films to be in a good mood.

I don't like scary movies. I mean I jump if someone comes behind me so scary movies are out.

I also don't like musicals. They are just a tad annoying for me

Usually horror movies. But yeah don't watch westerns either. And if it's a comedy movie I make sure the humor isn't too weird / unfunny / over the top . I also avoid too old movies, like 20's - 60's they're kinda boring (for me anything before 90's kinda old but yeah 70's 80's can be watchable). Oh and I don't watch porn.

I try to avoid scary movies, but the few that I have seen they haven't really made me scared, so mostly they were pointless to watch. Didn't give me an adrenaline rush, lol. Also action movies, not really a big fan of them either.

Romantic comedies - I would gladly turn to them for some mindless entertainment if only I didn't fail to find most of them whatsoever entertaining. They tend to be an awful mixture of boring and annoying.

Lately I also tend to avoid action and horror movies. I used to enjoy both genres and still do, the only difference being that, unlike before, I really don't have patience for them if they don't offer any story but just chasing around/blood.
