fighting, which was barely ok, but passable, i guess. i mean, i liked the ending, however, it really lacked the build-up to be both believable and satisfying, so i just couldn't buy that that's what happened. plus, they barely invested in the characters backgrounds either, which annoyed me. if you're going to tell a story, tell it, don't leave a million holes for me to ponder about after the fact, sigh!

Yeah, it said, "This year's Memento," on the DVD cover HERE. James D'Arcy was fabulous in it, but it can't beat Guy Pearce's performance in Memento. The movies have nothing in common other than they're both mind-f*&@ movies.

Yeah, I loved the Dreamers. They were definitely 'dreamers' all right, totally unattached from reality. It was beautifully told.

Yup, I saw it just for Eva! Even though it's her first role, it's definitely still her best one to date. I saw the edited (R-rated) version. Which one did you see?

in regards to 'the dreamers'....since it's been more than a few years since i've watched it....i believe it was either rated nr - which means the film has not been rated because it wasn't submitted to the mpaa ratings board....or it was rated nc-17...which means no one 17 and under admitted......i only found out that there were 2 dvd versions available when i ordered a copy for our library at home......and upon veiwing it discovered that some scenes had been cut....the difference between the 2 versions is perhaps 2 to 4 minutes of run time....of some very graphic sex scenes that occured.... we returned the edited version for the original uncut nc-17 version......both versions can be ordered here..............

................................................................................

the last movie that i saw in a theater...

'motherhood' starring uma thurman.....

most of the time i'd say the film was a "dog" if it's really bad.....today i'll just say that this movie was a real "mother"......

The Bucket List - Starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. This was a good movie, it makes you laugh, makes you cry, and is wildly entertaining. A great watch!

Desert Flower It was better than I expected it to be. Of course it was meant to play on one's heart strings. And one tear rolled over my face, that means alot But it was mostly because of the music. The main theme goes straight to the heart and breaks it. For the whole topic it was a good movie, because it brought the theme back to surface. And that's always a good thing.

'antichrist' by lars von trier

brief snyopsis.....while a couple is making love....their son falls out of their upper story home window and dies....from there they go to "eden"........

'antichrist' is very sexual in nature....probably best described by the word pornographic.......the first minute of the film shows actual penetration......and it's extremely graphically violent......yet i liked this film...because it presented an idea that i've never seen in any film....and parts of the film are visually stunning although there tough to watch at times.....it's a film i'm continuing to think about as i write this post......it was listed as nr (not rated) by the theater that i watched it in.......there's hardly anyone on this forum that i would recommend this film to...except those that are willing and brave enough to walk and explore the darkest sides of life depicted in film.......

I went to a free screening of the new Ryan Gossling film called All Good Things. The movie doesn't come out until March and we were actually the first audience to ever see the film! Overall it was good. I mean, I'm sure it'll change a bit by the time it comes out but it's suspenseful and enjoyable. I'm not a big fan of Kirsten Dunst at all and I thought that she was fantastic in this! I definitely will recommend you all see it...in March

500 Days of Summer. It wasn't as extraordinary as I expected it to be...had high expectations because of the really good reviews from friends, but...oh well.

The Men Who Stare At Goats. Hilarious movie. Had a sort of Coen Brothers meets Dr. Strangelove feel to it. A must see, in my opinion.

Just watched this French Horror Film called: "Inside (À l'intérieur)"

Holy ******ing sh**! This movie is not for people with weak stomachs at all. The ending is one of more grotesque things I have ever seen in a film.

Changeling - Not perfect but very engaging; all the performances were solid. Clint Eastwood makes such classy, clean, dramatic movies. I love his style.

Hehe, tricky advertisers!

I know... It was all very dreamy and poetic.
