I want to watch ''Us'' & ''The Prodigy'', so those will likely be the next films I see.

Thanks for opening, Kristen  (I just added tags)

Okay I saw Let Me In this weekend (that horror movie with Chloe Grace Moretz) and wow was this an over-hyped movie. Absolute garbage. Boring as hell and has no real purpose or flow to it, I mean she does NOT play a sympathetic character yet her friendship with the main boy is supposed to be all heartwarming etc but she's doing terrible things and UGH NO

:nono:

I honestly haven't been so bored by a horror movie since I saw that terrible The Bye Bye Man a few years ago.

 I don't remember watching ''Let Me In'', but has gotten pretty solid reviews. I haven't seen ''The Bye Bye Man'', but know that it quite a small budget.

Bye Bye Man was horrible. :(

Netflix movie Fractured A couple stops at a gas station, where their 6 y.o. daughter's arm is fractured. They hurry to a hospital. Something strange is going on there. The wife and daughter go missing. It was very strange almost like they never existed to the others but the husband.

What got you to watch "Bye Bye Man"?

I just watched Naked on Netflix. I enjoyed the comedy in it. Regina Hall was great.

I was thinking about watching The Bye Bye Man but after seeing reviews, I'll scratch that off my list lol

In general I love horror and I had seen the actor who stars, Douglas Smith, on other shows/movies and liked him, so wanted to give it a chance.

I usually give anything a one time watch chance, and if it grabs me, great, if not, sorry.

Point being I can say I gave it a chance.

Underworld Series. Love this movie series. Exciting and great story line.

Sinister-I saw it years ago and I wasn’t a fan so I decided to try it again. It’s actually not a bad movie...not scary but it does tell a interesting story. James Ransone  I would recommend it!

Re-watched Drew Peterson: Untouchable (TV movie based on the real life convicted killer played by Rob Lowe) and it's still as unsettling as the first time I saw it. Really well acted by Mr Lowe. He captured that sinister lust for relationship control to the maximum.

It was terrible. I'm a huge fan of horror films and love it when people do the best they can with a low budget, but nobody in this movie even TRIED to make it somewhat watchable or scary or even visually interesting. The editing was terrible, the performances were dullsville and the Bye Bye Man himself has to be the least intimidating villain I've ever seen on screen.

I haven't seen them all the way through, I remember seeing the 3rd film for the song Eye of the Tiger  glad you're enjoying them.

Okay so I just watched HALLOWEEN (2018)

Rant incoming :blah: ---

Anti-climactic ending, predictable jump-scares, bland characterization, a psychiatrist with a split personality who's marginally interesting until he gets easily killed by Michael thus serving no real purpose, two British journalists who had to be the most pointless characters ever (why were they so obsessed with the case yet acting so dumb???), clips used from the first movie of Judith Myers' death (as if we've forgotten who Michael is ), Laurie with a new family who I couldn't give a rat's :censored: about, most of the male characters (except the cute little black kid) getting killed...

I could go on and on and on about the issues I had with this movie (not to mention the scariest parts being revealed in the trailer) but I really couldn't stand it that Michael Myers appeared to have Jason Voorhee's presence and stamina in this movie. I didn't even feel like I was watching Michael Myers; it felt like Jason (or even Leatherface) but with Michael's mask.

A sequel is on its way and boy, can they keep it. Laurie in this one was NOT interesting to me. She was a hermit whose daughter didn't appreciate her until her life was in danger. Also, the editing in this movie was TERRIBLE. That scene where the journalist is like "SAY SOMETHING MICHAEL" then it cuts to the opening credits, the bus crash where it cuts to the usual "October 31st" image, the ending where they're just driving away and cut to credits... God it hurts to think about :irked:

5/10 and I'm being kind. (The positives go to the little kid and the babysitter scene and when the lights went out as he killed that guy who wanted to date Laurie's granddaughter)

I repeat: WHY was Michael acting more like Jason or Leatherface in this one??? The violent aspect was so completely OOC.
