Ghostbusters
I dont understand the attack on this film TBH, are people that precious that they didnt want their childhoods ruined? Too bad for them, I enjoyed this film and I got something out of it as well __________________

Goat- about a guy who decides to join a college fraternity and undergo the hazing that goes with it. It was an ok film if anything it just left me bemused as to why anyone would want to be a part of one of these, honestly the way they behave is pathetic surely anyone who's done anything think like this looks back and thinks how shameful it is.

A Better Life- story about an illegal immigrant trying to make a better life for him and his son in LA. I think it's an important story to be told it may give people who are very dismissive of immigrants an insight into their lives and understand they are just like us and have a right to a safe and decent life. Good performances and characters you can connect with. What I can't believe is how they are referred to as 'aliens' even in an official capacity WTF they are human beings that is disgraceful.

House of Wax-the 2005 version...I've seen it more times than I care to admit, definitely more than 100 one of my favorite movies! I've never been scared while watching but it has great twists! Jared Padalecki is awesome..I had him sign my DVD when I met him in June! recommend always!

Zootopia (Disney) - I really love this movie. In my top 10 Disney
movies. I really hope they do a sequel to it. I was surprised how dark it was. Also, I was surprised that the movie was a mystery/crime (my favorite tv/movie genre) Also, I was surprised how they integrated real life issues (prejudice/racism) in the movie. Really loved that. And I love Nick and Judy's friendship. __________________

Me before you. I mean each time I see it I cry but I come out with a new understanding of the character of Will.

The Purge: Election Year- this just felt unnecessary the second one was good because it took the action onto the streets and outside the house but this was too similar to that it felt like a repeat, aside from the political element there was nothing new on offer. I guess it gives a good idea of what a Trump presidency would look like!

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - i really enjoyed this a lot. there was a couple small things that bugged me. like every time emma took off her steal shoes to fly off somewhere they would appear where she landed. yet nobody was shown carrying them to where she was and they wernt magical so how did they get there? also (about the ending)
Spoiler:

I watched a slew of movies tonight on Netflix! Some new some repeated.
Th new ones were: Dirty Grandpa Starring Robert DeNiro and Zac Efron and Zoey Deutch. It was fun and entertaining. The Siege at Jadotville starring Jamie Dornan. Great film, and didn't know it was based on a true story. It was nice to see Jamie in a role where he got to use is accent! Repeat watches included: Mine Games - entertaining but boring if I'm honest. Underworld: Awakening - Starring Kate Beckinsale and Theo James. Good movie and Theo was so hot! The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones - Starring Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower. Great movie, entertaining. Vampire Academy - Starring Zoey Deutch, Lucy Fry, Dominic Sherwood, Sarah Hyland. Fun and entertaining. All in all it was a fun movie night. |
