The Town That Dreaded Sundown.

It was an okay film, but kind of predictable.

I saw it was the remake/quasi sequel. I liked it but yeah, it was. Did you see the original?

The critics were good here so I decided to watch it... although I don't prefer horror movies, this seemed more like a fairy tale with ghosts rather than a horror... The lead actors were amazing and especially Jessica Chastain!

Yeha, Guillermo Del Toro does fantasy horror that blends genres so you can't really 100% put it in one genre. It's why I love him so much!

I loved Crimson Peak too. Great atmosphere, del toro is great at setting up these places that are almost characters in the story (orphanage in devil's backbone comes to mind)

Mia Wasikowska is very good in it, as is Tom Hiddleston.

Jessica Chastan

I love Mia, she's such a diverse actress, you'd think she's in her thirties, but she's only like 24....

I watched Prisoners on recommendation from a friend; it was very long and a bit of an anticlimax I felt. But I got to stare at Jake Gyllenhaals face for the best part of two and a half hours and the first part of the movie was quite good overall so no problems here.
