Divines- French drama about a young girl desperate to escape her life in the Paris banlieues. This is a fantastic film, one of the best this year has produced. Excellent performance from the main lead, compelling story, interesting characters, humour, drama, action, tragedy it has it all really. Furthermore it's splendidly made, and uses music effectively.

The Nightmare Before Christmas -my favorite movie...I've seen it a million times..I love it!
A Christmas Visitor-not typically my type of movie but I was in the mood for a Hallmark movie. I really enjoyed it and it was surprisingly well acted for a TV movie! Definitely got misty eyed for sure especially at the end! Recommend!! __________________

Christmas Land-yes another Hallmark Christmas movie....I enjoyed it! It was Luke MacFarlane in a charming Christmas setting..and what more could you want? Great story and definitely got me misty eyed...recommended!!

The Light Between Oceans- not as good as I hoped it would be. The initial build up is too long and features a lot of pointless stuff, it gets better once the actual story starts but even then nothing too different from things I've seen in TV dramas. Not as emotional as I thought it would be maybe it was trying too hard.

Hard Rain- not bad for a 90s action/disaster movie. It was non stop action from start to finish and for the kind of film it is that's all you really want.
