Agreed. Plus, breaking the last one into 2 parts always has mixed reactions. HP and Twilight both got criticism for it.

I'm totally in the minority and think BD Pt 1 and DH Pt 1 had a lot of depth to them and weren't boring at all.

I've always cared less about the big battles and more about character explorations.

I loved the scenes between EB at their cottage

Their interactions really showed how much they had matured since the first movie.

I loved the BTS a lot, it showed them more and parts I wish had been left in!

Breaking Dawn surprised me with how much of the book it actually covered!

When I read it, I thought - there's no way they're gonna do that birth scene, or the sex scene

I haven't read the books in ages. The first was always my favorite

Breaking Dawn was really good too, but the whole middle section is written in Jacob's POV, which felt really unnecessary to me.

I loved that they added all those scenes, it's what made the book to be honest.

I do love "Twilight" the best for the book series as it's when they first meet and all and there's scenes in there that are not in the films.

I think you'd like them Matt but might be quicker if you did audio book too.

I remember fans being upset that a lot of the Blood Type chapter from the first book wasn't in the movie

I think they mean the part where Bella gets nauseous over the idea of blood typing in Biology. It would have tied in well to the birthday scene in NM.

There's a part where Edward drives her home:

Quote:
Will you do something for me this weekend?" He turned to look me straight in the face, utilizing the full power of his burning golden eyes. [...] "Don't be offended, but you seem to be one of those people who just attract accidents like a magnet. So...try not to fall into the ocean or get run over by anything, alright?" He smiled crookedly.

Yes I enjoyed that chapter, but instead we got a field trip.

I accidentally ended up with paperback AND hardback versions because some were given as gifts. We gave away the hardbacks and I was so grumpy because the covers were gorgeous

The field trip scene was quite fun Eric with the worm but the Blood Type chapter had them spend more alone-time.

I just didn't get why they re-wrote a field trip scene when they had the blood type one already in their hands. Still confused by that choice.

But it was funny with the worm thing, and the teacher, 'liquid compost...no don't drink that!'

I'm quite sad about it, Millie It deprived us of EB alone-time. The field trip, in my opinion, was included to add some class trip humor into the film.

I have so many mixed feelings about the movies, because the EB scenes did feel rushed a lot of the time. So much stuff is going on and the screen-time for them feels shortened to give way for action.
