Thirteen (2003)

Yes...Thirteen is the story of a teenager...but its harsh honesty in showing what teenage girls go through in their early teens....
I was really impressed, because of the incredible acting...
And tomorrow (01/27) , the dvd of the movie is coming out!! yeah! I'll be sure to buy it....
It was one of my favorites movies of 2003....so, I want it on my collection..
I found it here: http://www2.foxstore.com/detail.html...8&u=1073427397
and the dvd contains lots of features!!

Go see it, you wont be dissapointed, specially if you like of movies like "Kids" and "Requiem For A Dream"....

What do you guys think of it?

I've been waiting for this movie to come out on DVD forever. I'm so happy that it's coming out tomorrow. I have yet to see it but have heard only good things about the film and about Evan Rachel Wood's and Holly Hunter's performances.

I have yet to see this movie, but I think since it is coming out on DVD, I will go and rent it. As soon as I do that, I will come back later and post my thoughts about it.

I saw the movie a couple of weeks ago and I really loved it! It is so full of truth! I loved every minute of it, and the acting was just splendid, It is a pitty Evan Rachel Wood didn´t get the Golden Globe and she didn´t get nominated for the Oscars... but hey Holly Hunter is nominated for the Oscar for her role on the film

I am interested to see this because I read a review about it that said it was a pretty bad movie.

I saw this yesterday and I was surprised at how real it is. There were so many times while watching it that I remembered those kind of things from when I was a teenager. It's pretty good, I recommend it highly.

I just watched this yesterday and even though it was pretty good I was a little disappointed. I was expecting it to be better than it was. The acting was good but I dunno I guess I was just expecting something else

I just watched this movie 2 day ago. I think it was really good because I can actually relate to it. The acting was really good but I thought the movie could've had more "impact" like all the reviews about it said.

I'm within 30 minutes away from the end of the movie and so far I'm certainly impressed by the acting but there are definitely some plot holes in the overall film. I'll comment more after.

Hi there,

I'm in the UK and I wondered does anyone know if this movie has come out here yet? Or only in selected cinemas?

I've love to see this movie as I've heard good reviews about it, and the fact that I used to see Evan Rachel Wood in "Once & Again" makes me want to see what she's like now (Only seen Season 1).

Just finished the movie. The ending was acted out perfectly. I have to say that Evan Rachel Wood deserved an Oscar nomination for this role. She truly played the part and was amazing. Nikki Reed did very well for this being her first role. I cannot wait to see how both of there careers progress in the future. Holly Hunter is as amazing as usual. I can't say enough good things about the acting in this movie.

The ending was extreme nonetheless but the movie concluded well.

Well I watched the movie. It was pretty good, but shocking.

Kind of pathetic though that there are kids that are really like that, without any discipline. My dad
(and my mom herseof) would slap me right across my face if I ever said something like that to my mom!

I dunno. I guess the popularity aspects are like that, but thirteen year old kids drinking and smoking and doing drugs...um yeah, I dunno about that. If it really does happen, then their parents must be completely naive or just incredibly dumb. Lack of discipline...that's what it comes down to I think.
