I like the hat too, it's definitely an iconic scene from the film

but I remember Kate once said in an old interview that she hated wearing that hat because it was so big and heavy to wear.

The soundtrack for titanic is one of my favourites ever I remember buying the CD at Walmart years ago!

I agree I love the soundtrack too, and the themesong "My heart will go on" by Celine Dion is such an iconic song...but many people seem to hate it for some reason

^^ I don't hate the song but it was played so much that it's annoying now? Same with Whitney's "I Will Always Love You", iconic but overplayed.

Agreed

Also, James Cameron almost refused to have a theme song for the movie (with lyrics) because he felt it would be too sappy / too Pop music ish, and take the audience out of feeling the tragic emotion.

I think the instrumental 'Rose' is more captivating than the song itself.

while I do love the song, but I agree that it has been so over-played, so it's understandable that some people have become annoyed with it.

while it's true that James Cameron was initially apprehensive about having a themesong for the movie, but after listening to Celine Dion's demo for "My heart will go on", he changed his mind, he was impressed with the song and Celine's vocals.

So I was very pleased that she agreed to do it.

I became a Celine Dion fan because of that iconic song, I'm so glad she had agreed to record it...even though she doesn't seem to like the song very much, but the song did made her famous afterall

She should feel very honored. It's one of the main things that widespread audiences remember about the movie in relation to the real life tragedy. It's not my favorite song of hers at all (I always liked Then You Look At Me - the theme song of THE BICENTENNIAL MAN) but James Horner's score is so beautiful
