i still absolutely love the OT films, New Hope, Empire, and Jedi, have mixed feelings on the prequel trilogy, but Revenge was totally badass! i really like Rogue One because it connects to the OT and has a great explanation of the Death Star plans getting to the Rebels....but i remain disgusted and nauseated by those travesties called episode 7 and 8. not my Star Wars. no interest whatsoever in 9.

i will always be a fan of Luke, Leia, Han, Lando, Ben, Yoda, C3PO and R2D2.

Nothing beats the scene in Rogue One where Vader force slams someone to the ceiling and cuts him in half. Absolutely the most badass scene ever.

Here's my take on the 3 trilogies - I accept them for what they are. I do think they all bring something important to the Saga. They're all so different, yet they're connected by a thread. As long as the Skywalker blood remains, so remains the point of the story. Right now, that is existent in Ben Solo. Admittedly, I didn't love the Prequels, because I didn't think the performances were natural compared to the OT. That said, Anakin's backstory was an important one to explore and it gave us an insight to how and why things were so chaotic coming into A New Hope. Among the originals, there wasn't one bad film - and I adored the Ewoks even though they are constantly a figure of ridicule in the fandom The Sequels get a little confused I think with their attempts to blend the old with the new. Plus, I'll forever question whether killing off Han Solo was the right thing (I have the feeling Lawrence Kasdan did that as someone sort of delayed favor to Harrison ) but in terms of the overall story line, it oddly worked for a number of reasons -- most notably in how Leia rose to the occasion as General in the aftermath and how Luke was motivated to come back and face Kylo. As for the Finn-Rey-Poe trio, I'm neutral on them. To me, they're no Luke-Leia-Han I can't connect with them in the same way. That's not their fault, it's all a matter of personal taste, I guess. In all honesty, Adam Driver's strong performances motivate me to keep watching. I think his work with and without the mask has been extraordinary, and very underrated. I really want to see how they will deal with Leia's character in IX, in the aftermath of Carrie's passing.
