Thought we could use a little culture around here!
PBS is airing a documentary film on May 11th called Stand Up: Muslim American Comics Come of Age. I recognized one of the guys - Ahmed Ahmed from Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show - he's HYSTERICAL. Anyway, it follows a group of comics from their stand up tours to their family lives and how they came to do what they do. It's pretty impressive how they have learned to combat stereotypes regarding their culture and religion w/ humor. I swear, PBS documentaries always suck me in!
