It did!

They got a kickstarter campaign rolling a few years ago, just like Veronica Mars did when they made the movie 8 years ago, and yeah Brendan and Majandra were able to shoot it last year as the pandemic calmed down.

Majandra had written the script a long time ago. It's her and Brendan with basically a detective, adult vibe in addition to their Candy dynamic.

They also hate Roswell: New Mexico (the remake show) and were determined to give original Candy fans what they believe is a 'spiritual successor' to the original.

Baron and Toluca sounds SO good and it was received really well by fans & critics at the ATX Festival where it premiered.

The idea that Brendan and Majandra created something based on their acknowledgement of how well-loved their Roswell characters were is just super special. It's rare to see actors do such a personal project and this many years later.
