I saw this during the weekend. It was cute, as expected, but not as cute as the original since it had all been done before, as expected.
The exception to this was Puss-In-Boots, who was SO funny I choked from laughter. |

I love both movies ... hillarious. I can't watch Disney movies anymore since IMO they're way too corny for my taste now but I love the parodies shown in Shrek. And I love the song "Accidentally in Love" too.
BTW does anyone know where I could find screencaps for Shrek 2? Wanted to make avies but there seems to be a severe lack of pics around. __________________

I died laughing during this film. And it was like a rowdy audience. People were slow-clapping and everything. It was sooooooooooo funny.
But plot-wise, I thought the first one was better. Sequel definitely had more laughs. Much more pop culture influence. |

I agree that this one had a bit more laughs. I adore them both equally, though.
I'd have to say my favorite parts were: - The whole "Knights" thing. That just cracked me up. Especially with the "gender confused werewolf", the Gingerbread Man and the others at Shrek's swamp watching it on TV. - And the climax, the whole "Holding Out For A Hero" sequence was great. __________________

I laughed a lot watching this the other night.
I liked the subtle little things in the background a lot. Like there was this Monet painting in the king's room, the one with lilies and a bridge and um....the king's on the bridge..... Then, there's an "Employee of the Month" chart in the Fairy Godmother's factory but every employee there looks the same. And of course.....Sir Justin poster..... And I liked the "Holding Out For a Hero" sequence like most ppl do as well. It was awesome. __________________

I can't wait until I can buy it on DVD. I've seen the first one so many times, I know I'll wear this one out too.
