I ended up reading the whole series after I saw the movie. Not a big fan of the writing style, but then again it is for children. IMO, too much Jim Carrey. Even if Count Olaf is the main villain, its a story about the Baudelaires, not Count Olaf.
Sunny's going to be played by someone else?! But she was so cute! __________________

I think they just started asking for audition tapes for all the characters in the next movie, so they can't possibly be half way done. I don't think so, at least. Where did you hear that?

They are just starting auditions.

I went with my little sister to see this movie. We didn't stay for the credits though. What was special about the credits? Did they do something to them? I didn't know they were going to do anything to them.
The movie was cute, but I wasn't expecting it to be so dark. I didn't see the previews for the movie so I thought it was going to be a comedy because of Jim Carey. The first part of the movie was funny, but hte majority of it was dark. I couldn't see the subtitles so I'm sure I missed out on some funny parts. __________________

I loved the books, and I want to go see it, but I'm afraid I'll hate it because I hate Jim Carey. When I first heard he was playing Olaf, I thought, "That should be OK - Count Olaf is supposed to be over-the-top evil." But in the previews I've seen, he just looks silly, not evil at all.

I'm not a Jim Carrey fan, I still have yet to rent this movie, I wasn't sure if I was going to like this movie so I waited for the rent dvd time when it comes out...

I still haven't heard any news of a sequel. Did that fall through?
And when I first saw this (DVD whenever that came out) I liked it but didn't love it. But seeing it a couple more times the last month or so, it has definitely moved into my favourites  And I just started reading the books! And I loved Klaus! He was so adorable when he'd hold Sunny, and when he did just about anything else  __________________

Hey I am sooo glad there is a thread. I love this movie. I have read the whole series as well and they are depressing but I didn't read the first 3 since that's what the movie was of..they might do that layout..
But I didn't hear about a sequel I wish..__________________
