there is a poster up for it at my theatre...I hope its a big hit, I think it could really start a trend! And I wouldnt be shocked at all to see it come back to tv

I haven't seen any promotional stuff for the movie at all here in England. But I cannot wait to see it, hopefully when I get back home to Australia it will be about time for it's release.

The 'I've Seen "Serenity"' Thread #1 - for the good of the 'verse! (SPOILERS)
 Since so many people have now seen Serenity, even though it hasn't had an official release, I figured it'd be nice to have somewhere for us to discuss the movie. So please, be warned. Anything mentioned in this thread is not speculation, it's pure, seen-it-with-our-own-eyes, taken-from-the-movie spoilers. Of course, there may well be speculation about what might happen in sequels, but if you see someone saying "OMG! In the movie, Serenity is invaded by SQUID!!!", then it's not something that's subject to change, like with most spoilers. (That, by the way, was a fake.  Hope I haven't ruined the movie for anyone who was holding out hope of squid in Serenity!)We're also likely to discuss the huge, huge moments as much as the tiny ones, and without warning. So if you've not seen it and just want to know some spoilers, but keep away from the big ones, don't read on!  That said, discuss away! Yay, a thread for spoilers so we can discuss what went on! I know there are other venues out there for this discussion. But I'm happy to see one on FF for it!
I saw the movie over 2 months ago so my memory of it is fading. But I look forward to the discussions! |

I've seen it four times now One rough-cut in Feb, a press screening on August 10th, the premiere in Edinburgh on Monday and a preview screening in Manchester on Wednesday. And I *loved* it every time. It doesn't lose ANY of its shine! __________________

ok..I'm not sure if I really want to know or not. But..does the movie continue with the romantic possibilities that were laid out in "Firefly"? i.e. Simon/Kaylie & Mal/Inara?

Simon and Kaylee's relationship is definitely resolved. And in a good way. Mal and Inara's relationship is not fully resolved. But steps are taken in the direction of them moving in that direction. Also in a good way. But they are still a long way off by the end of the movie. If you want less vague details I can tell you what I remember about it. |
