I think that they have managed to talk to everyone and everyone's pretty much willing to do another movie. I don't think they've ironed out the agreements or the contracts and whatnot, but I'm not too sure actually. That's what I remember though.

Hee! Firefly on the big screen. I have hopes for it because it was such an amazing TV show, but to the average person, I think it might sound vaguely cheesy. And Whedon works better in smaller episodes (ie Hush) as opposed to bigger ones (ie finale)

Just hope that Joss -- as a writer -- Nails down a DEFINTE deal with the studios and talent involved before another possible WGA strike because that would potentially prevent him from working on this film in terms of pre-production rewrites (even though he is both writer and director).

As much as I like Joss... I would hope he would honor his committments to the WGA if they do strike and NOT work on this film in support of the strike if in fact one happens.

This would be the only major setback for this (and other) film -- But then again, it all depends on what kind of deal(s) he agrees on (whether they specifically focus on him as a writer or not), so it may or may not effect production overall.

It will be interesting to see his reaction if a strike does indeed break out.

Interviews I've read with people like Nathan Fillion and Morena Baccarin have confirmed that they're in.

The only one I'm unsure of is Adam Baldwin, who may be doing the Stargate SG-1 spinoff show at that point.
