More people do need to see it. Sadly, I don't know why people aren't. Scared of new things, I guess. People would rather see a movie they know is going to have the happy hollywood ending then a movie where anything could happen.

Re Kaylee: She, Inara, and Book were the most unused in my mind. Kaylee had some of the best one-liners, but she didn't have a lot to do. She was bascially boiled down to the 'sweet chick who has a crush on the doctor'.

I agree with you guys that I think Kaylee was the most unused character. We could have benefitted from a scene of her in the engine room doing what she does best. You couldn't even tell the kind of connection that she had to Mal. She was so negative towards him for most of the movie.

There was the scene at the start with her in the engine room, but I think there could have been a longer one at some point. And her relationship with Mal did suffer a bit, as she was angry with him over Simon for a good part of the film.

Always good to see a fan. I just recently purchased the DVD and fell in love all over again. The mark of a good movie. Of course, it helped that I adore the Firefly series.

i didn't know that Serenity was based on the show Firefly. i loved Serenity, can't wait to get the dvd.

Yeah it was, Firefly came first then after a massive push came the movie Serenity. I think last time I checked they had some used copies for really cheap not to long ago.

I watched it just couple months ago on tv. They had it advertised since summer and I was guessing which movie it was since I've only seen some screencaps of Firefly so it was just my gut telling me this must be it. And it was! I loved it. Wanna see again

Now I wanna see Firefly too...

Yup. They had new tv season's commercials out during summer for upcoming movies and tv shows.

That's funniest thing about tv channels in my country, it was premiere.
I know, I had googled Firefly before for screencaps for icon challenge and knew Nathan was in it so got curious. Then came movie commercial and I googled Nathan Fillion to guess which one it was since that month all other movies were from 2011 except for Serenity which was a huge surprise (or not that huge).

But it happens. They find old movie and put on air as absolute news.

I'll try to watch it online once I get appropriate device for that matter. I've got really interested in it.

Yes! I love Summer too! Her and Nathan were my reasons for watching the show. And then I fell in love with it and the other cast members too

I believe it was Serenity that got Joss noticed a little bit by Hollywood, since it was the first movie that was shown in IMAX (if I remember correctly).
