The Science of Sleep (2006) #1
(For some reason I can't do a search yet but I didn't see a thread with this title for three pages)
Hi there, I used to be "Sublime Muffin" but my ancient login isn't working anymore. Is anyone else excited about seeing this movie? I'm jazzed. I am huge fans of both Gondry and Gael Garcia Bernal, so you can imagine I will be first in line. There are some great clips from the film here Cheerio (Please leave a warning and space before spoilers OR reviews. I hate reviews before I see a film, especially bad ones. They can color the experience.) |

Ooh, I really want to watch this too I loved Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and I like Gael Garcia Bernal. But the most important thing is that the movie sounds good!
I can't wait for it to open, damnit! __________________

I think it opens wider next weekend, at least 200 theatres. It might open at even more theatres since it has had an enormous per-screen average.
It's coming to my town at least, YAY! |

That's good
Unfortunately I stay in Singapore where movies tend to come months after they're released in the States, so I'll have to wait for a while more. Still, I don't mind. The good ones are always worth waiting for __________________

Did you check out the clips? Hopefully that will hold you.
Singapore? Did you grow up there? I bet living there is more interesting than a darn movie. |

Loved it! Fantastic film. I even got a sig/quote...it was such a fun, breath of fresh air...and Gael did a great job. Also, the chemistry between Stephane/Stephanie felt very real, and felt like they weren't really acting...

I also loved this movie. It had so many great ideas in it. Gael did a great job as always. Love him. It was also a very funny yet touching movie.

I thought we had one, too... Anyway, thanks for the thread!
Have you discussed your account with the PTBs? You should be able to get it back... I recently saw a promo for this film and it does look interesting, not to mention the fact I liked Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, as well. __________________

So did, er, people watch this in the end? Finally got around to watch it ages ago and loved it. It's not as crazy as Eternal Sunshine and it's a bit more plotless, so I think Eternal Sunshine is probably the better movie, but I liked this as well. It was typical Gondry, kind of crazy and strange and offbeat but still very engaging and quite heartwarming. I love the papier-machie stuff.
Also, Gael Garcia Bernal was awesome. Seriously. __________________
