Sahara (2005) #1

Has anyone seen the trailer for this? I love these treasure-hunting types of movies. Plus, Matthew McConaugheny is way hot! I can't wait to see it.

I used to like Matthew but then, I don't know, he got cold. I hope this movie does well, though. I'm not really excited for it or anything but it's always good to have a fun movie out there. Things can get too serious.

Ya - steve Zahn will make a great side-kick. He is so funny. Loved him in saving silverman.

Has anyone read the books that this is based on? I wonder if I have to read it before I see this.

It looks kinda cool, but I have to say the only reason I want to see it is because of Matthew

There are some good reviews out:

http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=19774

"The film is beautiful, shot in Morocco and showing off the beautiful and vital culture there. The film is greatly entertaining in a clean good old fashioned way, while having a beat and coolness that at times feels totally James Bond or The Incredibles"

I saw the trailer and something ticked me off. English is read from left to right. Arabic is the opposite: its from right to left. So in the trailer MC's character is reading arabic while pointing at the writing and he's moving his hand from left to right!

Don't worry they read Arabic right.

Do you go to FAMU???? Cause I don't but I live near it. In Tally.

Oh and I got to see a special preview of this like last week, it was fun. It has a great Bond like evil plot in it. It's kinda slow at first but then it gets funky and full of action.

Steve Zahn is hilarious.

Oh and I have to ask anyone who goes to see this movie. Do you find the use of Sweet Home Alabama in a film that is set in Africa kind of retarded? I get that the music is american, that's fine but because Sweet Home Alabama is just kind of...specfic. Someone help me out with that one.

Steve Zahn was so funny, he cracked me up especially when he would come out with his "hi there, how are ya?" line.

Saw it last night with some other people. They loved it and are easily enthralled by anything with things going splodey. There are numerous gaping chasms in reality and probability, which I found annoying. Steve Zahn though? Wonderful.

Guess what what movie topped the Box Office to crown itself the #1 movie in America?

I have to admit I didn't expect "Sahara" to be on top. Not much competition but still... Good job.
