^ It stars Brooke Shields, Martin Hewitt and Shirley Knight.

More info here.

I know there is a 2014 version of the film with Alex Pettyfer and Gabriella Wilde.

I didn't like it.

there's also James Spader from Pretty In Pink and a very young Tom Cruise in his debut film role

my favorite part of the movie was Martin Hewitt

I think he really captured the emotions well in his performance

I knew about the re-make when it first came out

do you mean you didn't like the original or the re-make?

^^^ Admittedly Millie, I haven't seen Meg Ryan in much (and still haven't seen When Harry Met Sally) but I do think she's charming in You've Got Mail

I never used to care much for the romance in Pretty Woman, but I just re-watched it and I found myself really rooting for Vivian and Edward

I love the whole build-up to her finally kissing him on the mouth (something she refrains from doing with other 'clients') -

I've only watched 2 of her movies: When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless In Seattle and I loved both of them

you're missing out Gwen

When Harry Met Sally is amazing

I want to re-watch Pretty Woman (hmmm...there are some questionable things about their relationship though)

I watched it with my mom when I was younger

oh god after watching Endless Love I can't get the song out of my head now

it's like on a constant loop

She's great in Sleepless in Seattle, too even though I always wished she and Tom had more scenes together. (That was the entire point, though, that they didn't)

I will try and watch When Harry Met Sally, I do like Billy Crystal in other things He was good in America's Sweethearts (2001).

It's true that Pretty Woman is controversial, to say the least Mixing Cinderella and the underworld of prostitution was always going to be strange.

^ I've not seen it, but agreed, congrats to her

The romance in Jerry Maguire is difficult to get into at first because of Tom Cruise's character's indifference towards being committed, but this scene/dialogue redeems him:

And Renee Zellweger, in return: "You had me at hello."

i'm a huge fan of Sara and Derek in Save The Last Dance, played to the hilt by the great 90s star Julia Stiles and the intriguing Sean Patrick Thomas. i also loved the first movie role of Kerry Washington as Derek's sister. great chemistry by the leads as a couple, and the sister as the unintentional foil. great film, still waiting for a blu-ray release.

I also really loved Julia Roberts in "Sleeping With the Enemy". She has a new relationship with neighbour Ben, when she finally escapes the abusive husband, but their relationship evolution is really cute to watch.

I had heard that news Alison, congrats to Constance!

^^ Sleeping with the Enemy is great I was practically giddy when she connected with Ben, the new guy, even though it took a while for her to get the courage to open up. Wow, Patrick Bergin who played her husband was so good as the cold/crazy ex

^ I always picture Russ Tamblyn when I hear those lyrics

Speaking of, I shipped Riff and Graziella in West Side Story more than the other couples and I thought that part where she cried for him was so sad
