| I love the ending too! Especially when we get to see Mark's documentary and the last image is Angel's smiling face. This afternoon I searched for Rent videos on YouTube and got to see Daphne Rubin-Vega's stage performance as Mimi in "Out Tonight". She so owned the part that it made me kind of sad that she's not in the movie, but then we wouldn't have had Rosario, who is also an awesome actress and singer. Well, at least there are recordings of Daphne's performance, which can sadly not be said for every single actor that ever performed in Rent on stage. My favorite part of the song is when Mimi sings "So let's find a bar/So dark we forget who we are/Where all the scars of the nevers and maybes die". That last verse is probably one of my top 5 favorite lines in the entire show and both Daphne and Rosario did it justice. | |||

| Welcome everyone new! So happy to see more RENTheads joining!  Romain, you're totally right about Daphne and Rosario. Both of them were fantastic Mimis, and each of them gave Mimi a different character. I don't know who it was, but someone once said to me Daphne was the perfect stage-Mimi and Rosario was the perfect movie-Mimi, and I totally agree with that. I mean, Daphne's voice  Just, wow! It's so amazing when you watch scenes of the whole OBC singing together and you can SO hear her through all the other peoples' voices. Such a tiny person and so much power in her voice  But Rosario is so fantastic too. She added such a vulnerability to Mimi, and her voice is so smooth and pretty. Also, I know that's nothing about how she played the part, but Rosario's RENT-hair was so awesome __________________ One thing is true. When I look and I find I still love you. *Stef* | |||
