Ashes Fall

I am not a fan of Cathrine Hardwick after she totally butchered the Twilight movie(although I do love it in it's own way), but this film was very well done. I love the dark edge given to the wolf problem and the concept that only under the blood moon can he infect rather than kill.
I love how the whole mystery of who the wolf was seemed so obvious in changing ways throughout the film, I had mental list of all the people they had clearly hinted at being the wolf, I even had to add Peter once he had escaped from the steel elephant whereas before I did not believe it was him. My mom had suspected the Gary Oldman guy which did not consider when I saw it with a friend in the theater, but it did make sense with his obsession with the wolf and eating of raw meat in the one scene. The raw meat thing is what my mom had picked up on.
Never had it crossed my mind though that it was the father, and a blood connection being why Valerie could hear the wolf. Very very brilliant.
I also liked the whole thing with her friend's autistic brother, it reminded me of 'The Village' a bit(except in that film the autistic guy really was the guilty party).
I wish they had done a bit more with Valerie and Peter's relationship but other than that it was brilliantly done. I guess Hardwick doesn't screw up all the time.

I initially watched the film for Amanda and because I'm a fan of Virginia Madsen, aka Candyman.

I quite liked the film, loved the story and the ending.
