Definitely agree. If you haven't seen the BBC version with Colin Firth you need to see it! It's so fabulous, but I'm also very excited about this one. I hope the actor playing Mr. Darcy will be good.

Yes, Matthew MacFadyen is handsome with his beautiful eyes and his beautiful voice. He deffintaley has the body type for Mr. Darcy being 6'2.

I haven't seen any of his acting yet, but I have heard by fans and critics that he is a very talent actor.

He probably will be judged harder than Keira or the other actors by critics and Austen's fans because Darcy is such a beloved character. Also Colin Firth may the character so huge in his own right.

And I think Mr. Darcy was named the most romantic fictional character by women and Pride & Prejudice their favorite romantic book.

Even if MacFadyen does poorly (which I don't think he will) this role will definatley effect his carrer a good deal. Being Mr. Darcy is the kind of part that makes a national name out of you.

Matthew MacFadyen certainly looks like how I picture Mr. Darcy should look. I've just never heard of him but that doesn't mean he's a bad actor by any means. I've only read good things about his acting as well and from the trailer it looks like he'll do fine.

I'm not exactly sure how I feel about Keira playing Elizabeth but my mind is open since I thought she did well in both Bend It Like Beckham and Pirates of the Caribbean, and also Love Actually for that matter. We can only wait and see, and I'm almost surely going to love the movie since I love the story so much.

It's strange to see them show scenes in such a different way. The scene where Elizabeth refuses Mr. Darcy in this trailer is much more final than the one in the first trailer where they look like they're about to kiss.

Loved to see a few extra scenes as well. It still looks good!

omg I didnt think I would find a thread on the movie....but here it is! I absolutely this book and I'm so in love with Mr. Darcy and so naturally I'm very excited to see this movie. Thanks for all the pictures and links!! I think that this version will differ greatly from the beloved BBC adaptation--as it should--but nonetheless, I think it will give everyone a new chance to fall in love...

I've watched both trailers a few times and I'm really excited for this. It's looks so sweet.

In the trailers they seem to be focusing on the Elizabeth/Mr. Darcy dynamic and show very little or nothing of the Lydia/Mr. Wickham and that mystery so I'm wondering how much that'll be part of the movie. There would have to be some of it in it, I would suppose. It just looks very romantic alltogether which I don't mind at all...lol

I can't wait for this film! I saw the new trailer... the old trailer is a lot better even though the new one has new scenes... The new trailer seemed very choppy. Does anyone know how to download the old trailer from the movies.yahoo site? I'm excited for this film!
