Yeah, I didn't completely understand it either, so thank goodness my brother was watching it too.

I love that he was amazing, especially when his performance was so fine and hidden through the movie. Then when it ends, you really appreciate what he did.

Isn't it? Plus his accent was truly fantastic here. I know that's probably very close, if not he's real accent, but it really captured the character(s) tone. It was so vibrant, but so smooth at the same time.

I've been rewatching this.....

It keeps getting better upon multiple viewings. I'm now so fascinated with Cutter.

One thing that I can't wrap my head around is Sarah's death. Why did she do it? The movie made it seem like had found out the secret, but she left her little girl behind. To me, Sarah was stronger than that.

Another thing that I love about the movie is Caine's narration. It so hypnotizing... especially in the end when he says, "you want to be... fooled." and then black out screen.

Whaaa! it has that effect on you that you have seen something special.

Exactly!! When I wathed the ending the first time I had to keep myself from applauding. Hehe. I hate applauding in the theater.

No Country for Old Men did something similar and it worked there too.

I agree about his narration in the end

I assume Sarah was too troubled by the betrayal of her husband (whether she knew the secret our not) and it was probably all just too much for her. I have no idea why she'd commit it otherwise

Casting Christian Bale alongside Hugh Jackman was one of the best things to happen in a movie in recent years. Both very hot guys, and both amazing actors.

I'll make sure I'll watch No Country for Old Men

I wonder if Sarah really knew the "secret." I guess if you have lived with a person for a lot of years already, something will be up. What a sacrifice too.

- I know... it's such a rarity. I hope one of these days I'll see an Edward Norton-Christian Bale movie.

I agree, it was an amazing choice

And I'd also love to see a Norton-Bale combo one of these days, that would be intense, I think
