I saw it today.
Wow. Hard movie to watch but so good. Amazing performances by Gabourey and Monique. And I liked both Patton and Mariah in it. They changed a few things from the book but it stayed pretty close to it. __________________

mukooh - I always love reading your thoughts on movies, so if you do see it I look forward to reading them.
But, yes, I have a feeling this movie will turn some people off just because of the hype it has been getting. __________________

Slumdog had a ton of hype and was hugely successful.
I think the subject matter will put people off from from seeing it. i've heard from several people that they don't want to be depressed or cry at a movie theater right now. What a shame...they might be missing out on a wonderful movie. |

I am not that kind of a person who thinks if a movie is so depressed and sad that you shouldnt see it, i love movies and so i will definately go and see this one when it comes out in the UK, judging but the date its coming out here, its the same day as Lovely Bones which i want to see as well __________________
