The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) #1: Because Jack Skellington's a great Santa Claus.
This thread is dedicated to the animated movie "Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas" directed by Henry Selick. Tim Burton wrote the script and produced the film.

i love this movie!!!!!! my fave scene is when Jack goes into the forest with the holiday trees!

OMG I just love love love love love this movie!
I love such dark movies like this and corpse bride  Also other movies from Tim Burton like Edward Scissorhands are just  And I love the song in the movie "What's this" from Jack! It's so funny GREAT GREAT GREAT movie __________________

Umm... Actually the film wasn't directed by Tim Burton it was directed by Henry Selick. Tim is always confused as being the director because it says Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas. He wrote the story and produced it but didn't direct it. It actually came about years before the film was made. Tim Burton wrote about Jack Skellington in a poem. Trust me... I'm a Tim Burton fanatic! His films inspired me to go to film school (which I am currently in) and to one day work with him.

Does anyone here ever go to the re releases? I went for the first time last year to see it in 3-D. It was kind of cool but I think I just prefer it the way it was intend to be watched

The 3-D version was never show in cinemas here. Has it been released on dvd? I would like to see it, though I'm so fond of the original.

I don't think that the 3D version was ever released onto DVD. I could be wrong but I've never seen it in stores.
