ET has learned that Robin Williams will postpone his one-man show, and plans to undergo surgery.

According to a statement from his rep, the 57-year-old actor and comedian is planning to have surgery for an aortic valve replacement and is postponing his Weapons of Self-Destruction tour.

The statement reads:

"Robin Williams is postponing the remainder of his critically acclaimed one-man show, Weapons of Self-Destruction, to undergo surgery for an aortic valve replacement. The tour is expected to resume in the fall. Previously purchased tickets will be honored once the new dates are scheduled or ticket holders can contact their place of purchase for refunds."

Williams also sends a message to his fans, thanking them for their unwavering support.

He says:

"I'm so touched by everyone's support and well wishes," said Williams. "This tour has been amazing fun and I can't wait to get back out on the road after a little tune-up."

The Weapons of Self-Destruction tour is set to resume in the fall.

Some more News

Twilight News for those that care.

Dakota Fanning will star as a bloodsucking vampire in the Twilight sequel New Moon.

The teenage actress has been at the centre of fevered speculation in recent months as internet reports claim she has been offered a role opposite Kristen Stewart and brooding Brit Rob Pattinson in the movie.

And now film bosses have confirmed the news to Access Hollywood - Fanning will play the role of Jane, a member of the Italian Volturi vampires in the sequel.

Filming on New Moon is scheduled to begin in Italy this spring.

Freida Pinto News

Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto is heading towards the big time - she has reportedly landed a six-figure sum to become the face of cosmetics giant Estee Lauder.

The Hollywood newcomer, who has taken the industry by storm since starring in the Oscar-winning movie, has been approached to front the beauty company's future advertising campaigns.

Pinto, who will become the brand's first Asian spokeswoman, is currently in negotiations over a $280,000 (£200,000) contract, according to insider reports.

The star will follow in the footsteps of former Estee Lauder campaign girls Liz Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Final numbers for The Dark Knight.

As the Watchmen entered the fray, the biggest superhero exited. Distributor Warner Bros. has hung up the cowl and cape for The Dark Knight after 231 days of service. With a $533.3 million final tally as of Mar. 5, the picture is the top superhero or comic book movie of all time.

The Dark Knight stands as the most attended movie since Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace in 1999, ranking 27th on the All Time Adjusted for Ticket Price Inflation chart. Unadjusted, writer-director Christopher Nolan' Batman sequel is second only to Titanic, and its phenomenal 33-week run includes $49.9 million from IMAX venues, a record for a two-dimensional re-mastered IMAX release. Worldwide, which is domestic and foreign grosses combined, it recently crossed the billion dollar mark, the fourth movie in history to hit that milestone.

One of the most impressive and relatively unheralded feats of The Dark Knight was how it performed by one of the key measures of a sequel's success: comparison to its predecessor. In 2005, Batman Begins reached blockbuster status, grossing $205.3 million. That was a great number on its own, especially given how the picture had to overcome the stench of the prior Batman movie, Batman and Robin. Batman Begins was well liked by moviegoers and the picture promised The Joker as the next villain (before Heath Ledger was even cast), getting the buzz rolling for the sequel. The Dark Knight was expected to exceed Batman Begins because of that foundation, but it soared at an unprecedented level for a sequel to a blockbuster, earning more than two and half times the gross of its predecessor.

In its final week, The Dark Knight played at 54 sites, making $131,364 to rank in the Top 50. Business was up nearly five percent from the previous week and the picture continues this weekend at a handful of theaters, but Warner Bros. has pulled the plug. That's not unusual. Most studios cease box office tracking when their movies drop to a certain level, sometimes even when those movies are still showing at a significant number of theaters or ranking relatively highly on the charts. Dark Knight was the last hold-out to close among movies released in July.

^^ Which of course I will have to wait to see. But sometimes the DVD's are just better because of the special features or an extended cut!

Not surprised. The showings before the one I saw Friday were sold out. And the late showing I ended up going to was pretty frigging packed too.

Not bad for an R-rated movie that's almost three hours in runtime.

Yay for Watchmen doing so well!

White Noise, Watchmen is one that has to be seen on the big screen to get the full effect, it won't be the same otherwise.

I hope Robin Williams' surgery goes well.

I agree Watchmen has to be seen on the big screen!

Sadly, the drop off in its second week was huge. Race to Witch Mountain took it out of #1.

Natasha Richardson is "still alive" despite online reports she has died following a skiing accident in Canada.

The 45 year old fell on the slopes while taking a ski lesson at Station Mont Tremblant near Montreal, on Monday.

She was taken to Montreal's Centre Hospitalier Laurentien, before being transferred to the nearby Hopital du Sacre-Coeur de Montreal with a serious head injury.

The actress' husband, actor Liam Neeson, rushed to her side on Monday from the set of his film, Chloe, currently shooting in Toronto.

On Tuesday Time Out New York broke the news online that Richardson had died, claiming its editors had been tipped off by a close family friend.

The item disappeared from Time Out's website shortly afterwards and editors sent out an apology for reporting her death, but insisted, "We stand by our new statement that she is brain dead and not expected to survive."

Representatives for the star have yet to release any information about her status - but she is believed to have been flown to a second hospital.

Clinic sources tell TMZ.com that Richardson has brain swelling, but is not brain dead.

Meanwhile, a representative for the ski resort has revealed Richardson was not wearing a helmet when she fell, but "did not show any visible sign of injury" shortly afterwards.

Lyne Lortie tells Usmagazine.com, "(She was) accompanied by an experienced ski instructor who immediately called the ski patrol.

"The ski patrol followed strict procedures and brought her back to the bottom of the slope and insisted she should see a doctor.

"As an additional precautionary measure, the ski instructor, as well as the ski patrol, accompanied Mrs. Richardson to her hotel. They again recommended she should be seen by a doctor.

"Approximately an hour after the incident Mrs. Richardson was not feeling good. An ambulance was called and Mrs. Richardson was brought to the Centre Hospitalier Laurentien in Ste-Agathe and was later transferred to Hopital du Sacre-Coeur."
