I'll give this a go for Ansel Elgort. He's just extremely charismatic and talented on screen, so I think he could bring Tony to life in a way I didn't care for much before.

My favorite character will always be Riff though

Ansel is charming and I'd honestly watch the new WSS for him even though I have no investment in a remake at all.

I watched the original WSS this weekend and Russ Tamblyn cannot be bettered in that role. He was just incredible. When Riff dies, my heart always hurts

Thanks for the cast list Allison! Wow well I liked Catherine Zeta-Jones a lot in CHICAGO, she's an incredible dancer.

I'm honestly tired of seeing things which were meant for the stage be brought to film

CATS is far too fantastical and costume based to be taken seriously as a film. I respect Lloyd Webber enormously and adore the film version of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, but that was a gothic romance so it easily transitioned to the screen because the actors had great chemistry.
