I definately recommend "Knowing". I know the reviews have been kind of bad- it's said that that movie is pretty much a knock off to "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", "The Day The Earth Stood Still" and others but that's the beauty of it. Stories like these can never be re-told too many times.

Knowing was intense and interesting, I'd recommend it as well. The critic who got it right was Roger Ebert.

I'd rec Taken with Liam Neeson. It'll be on DVD in May. I saw it 5 times at the theater and it was great. Sure, there were more holes than swiss cheese but Liam Neeson had me from the word go. He was fantastic and actually you pretty much forgot about the plot holes, until the movie was over and even then, they weren't that important. Neeson just rocked it.

Clifford (1994) with Martin Short, Charles Grodin, Mary Steenburgen. It's not about the big red dog! Martin Short plays a 10 year old boy (while he's really 44 in real life... ), that is crazy, who stays with his uncle and hilarity ensues. It's so funny, and everyone I talk to has never seen it! The cast is so amazing, too. Definitely recommend it!

Hi!
I was wondering if anyone knows some movies similar to Just friends or The Holiday or Love actually (first on my "Yet to watch list")... Basically, I'm looking for a Christmas/winter movie, comedy or romantic comedy. Would really appreciate if you can recommend some. |

While You Were Sleeping is a great Christmas/Winter romance movie
But one of my favourites has to be The Family Stone! |
