My absolute favourit couple is Christian and Satine from Moulin Rouge. Their chemistry is unbelivable. You can see that they really love each other, and that they're ready to give up everything. That is real love <3

Noah and Allie in the Notebook, young and old. They were so devoted and in love.

Okay, well - if you can choose a favorite couple of all time, so I can I... *tries really hard* Okay, I can't do it! I love too many to choose! Give me a genre and I might do better... __________________

Wallace and Gromit. I like the way they are together and I like the way Gromit knows how to get Wallace out of trouble. They are the best couple..
though R2-D2 and C-3PO come in a close second. You could say that 3PO is Wallace to R2's Gromit. __________________

The best ship ever...Rhett & Scarlett from Gone with the Wind!
These two are legends, and it took FOREVER for Scarlett to realize the love of her life was Rhett, and by the end it was too late. I LOVE that they never got together in the end, it makes them all the more beautiful. __________________

no, i don't think they should do a remake. Gone With The Wind is a classic no remake can hold a candle to it. i did however enjoy Scarlett, the sequel to Gone With The Wind.
Rhett and Scarlett have to be my #1 favorite movie couple of all time. |

Inman and Ada from Cold Moumtain Because they hardly knew eachother yet he came back to her.
Ennis and Jack from Brokeback Mountain. Does it really need explaining? Elizabeth and Darcy from Pride and Prejudice, because I love the love/hate relationships. Cady and Aaron from Mean Girls, because they are so cute! Edit: OMG. I forgot Jo and Laurie from Little Women! |

What about Maria and Captain VonTrap from The Sound of Music? Their banter and sexual tension was spectacular. Not to mention their duets. "Though somewhere in my youth or childhood, I must have done something gooood."
Second for me would be Wesley and Buttercut from The Princess Bride. And of course the classic uber sighworthy, "As you wish". __________________

wow I can't believe anybody could actually just choose one as a movie lover there are so many couples that I really enjoy so much.
The more tragic couples usually are some of my favorites, such as Romeo and Juliet, Jack and Rose from Titanic, and Landon and Jamie from AWTR. They all gave up everything to be together. Romeo and Juliet both gave up their life. Jack gave up his life to keep her alive and Landon gave up basically all his friends and devoted the rest of his time to being with Jamie til the end of her life. I think this is really the show of complete and unconditional love for someone. I don't think it probably happens that much in reality, but it sure is nice to think that someone could love another person that much. baileycat-I loved Capt Von Trapp and Maria from SOM they def had the sexual tension between them and you could tell this from the beginning of the movie. btw you should come over to the SOM thread here and there thread at the couples board there aren't too many posters over there sorry to pimp them, but I really love this movie and couple __________________
