I can't find any DVDs of this movie, although I have watched it already. I loved how this ended, very powerful and well, kind of appropriate, too, I guess. I actually found the short story version in an Esquire that I have. Anybody else read it?

I think Teddy was telling the truth. Leonard is Sammy (not literally, of course), but Lenny's story is actually his that they do have similar memory problems, but he cloaks it as Sammy's since he felt guilty (or is in denial about) being the one who actually murdered his wife by injecting her with insulin. Leonard seems to have this problem of believing what he wants to be true or remember, hence the missing pages in his file. In the first few minutes, after killing Teddy, he destroys the Polaroid of a dead Teddy. It's basically his only objective in life: looking for his wife's killer is all he has, once he does find out the killer, there's really no purpose for him to do. He'll eventually find another John G to do the same. Of course, I haven't seen this movie in awhile, so... |

I finally watched it this past weekend, really liked it.
I think watching it in order would ruin it severely. I won't do it. __________________

The one thing that doesn't really make sense is that Lenny tatooed John's car license. So after killing Teddy, who would he kill next?

I have yet to buy the DVD, so I haven't seen the movie in order. I've been thinking about this movie because I realized I had forgotten much of the small details. I only remember the ending, which is pretty difficult to forget. Heh.

I love this movie. Even the end (or the beginning) wasn’t what I had expected. Oh, now I want to watch it again.
