Such a busy weekend ahead, I'm sad I might not have time for movies!

A Bond board? I don't think i've posted here before. Time for an introduction. I live in the UK, and have been a Bond fan since 1996. The first Bond film I watched was You Only Live Twice, which had just been re-released on VHS. The first Bond I watched on the big screen was Tomorrow Never Dies. Since then, my Bond collection has grown to include VHS tapes, DVD's figures, graphic novels, video games, reference books, model cars, posters, and of course the novels.
Best / Worst...? Bond: Timothy Dalton / Daniel Craig Bond girl: Maryam d'Abo / Tanya Roberts Bond villain: Robert Davi / Mathieu Amalric Bond film: The Living Daylights / Quantum of Solace Bond book: Moonraker / Solo. Bond game: Nightfire / Quantum Of Solace (PS3) |

You consider Dalton the best and Craig the worst? Is that just because everyone loves Craig as Bond, or is it the blonde hair? Dalton wasn't my fave, but he definitely wasn't bad. Certainly not the popular choice so that's awesome to see he at least has some fans!

I liked Timothy Dalton in both movies but for me the best is still Sean Connery...I find Daniel Craig the most suitable for the role, though and his versions are very excited!

I've always preferred Craig's Bond over all the rest, but that's just my opinion. It's nice to have different opinions, makes for good discussion.

I'll give him credit, Sean Connery was at his best in Dr No and From Russia With Love. But starting with Goldfinger, continuing with Thunderball and You Only Live Twice, Connery's Bond lost that lethal edge. As for Diamonds Are Forever, Connery looked so bored (and out of shape, it's hard to believe that he was only 41), that he clearly didn't want to be there, but was doing it only for the money. If only Lazenby had accepted the 7 film contract, we could have had a proper revenge film with a reworked Diamonds Are Forever, which would have used the plot of the You Only Live Twice book. Follow that with an adaption of The Man With The Golden Gun (keep Christopher Lee, he was the best part of the film), and then few more Bonds with Lazenby... that would have been so good.
If he had accepted, Lazenby would have been Bond from 1969 to 1983, this is his cameo from The Return Of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. released in 1983: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WIXI4AfbwA |
